The Shizumi Kodomo Dance Troupe (SKDT), based in Washington DC, first came together in 2000 for the White House Millennium Celebration—and has been dancing ever since. We are now preparing to dance in Hiroshima, Japan, in July-August, 2010, as part of the Peace Celebration. Please donate now to help us get there.
静 美こども舞踊団（SKDT）は、2000年にホワイトハウスで行われたミレニアム記念イベントを機に結成され、ワシントンDCに拠点を置いて活動していま す。現在は2010年7月~8月に予定されている　広島平和祭への出演　に向けて準備を進めています。 より多くのダンサーが日本での初公演に参加できるよう　ご寄付　をお願いします。

 

While focusing on tradional Japanese dance, our dancers are young, ethnically diverse, and exemplify what is best about our world. A truly multicultural company, the children have discovered that dance is an international language. Thank you for your interest. We hope to see you at our next performance.
こども舞踊団のメンバーは「人種のるつぼ」と言われるアメリカを代表する4歳から17歳のダンサーです。伝統的かつモダンな日本の舞踊を通じて、東西文化の懸け橋になることを目指しています。舞踊団の活動に興味をお持ち下さり、ありがとうございます。 次回の公演会場 にて皆様にお目にかかれることを楽しみにしています。
