SKDT at All Souls Church Gallery Page

All Souls, Unitarian in Washington, DC, received a thank you gift of hand drawn pictures from children in Hiroshima, Japan, just after World War II in 1947. The pictures have been restored and the Shizumi Kodomo Dance Troupe danced at the church the day they were first exhibited, April 5, 2009.

Artistic Director Shizumi Manale and the Shizumi Kodomo Dance Troupe, Inc., are collaborating with Boru Television to develop a documentary of the All Souls Church and Hiroshima survivors' pictures story, the inspiration for many of our dances and the music we use (see About SKDT). Visit the film web site for more information and to see a trailer for this documentary.

Clicking on the photos will open a larger image of each in front of this page. Close the image to return to this page.
